Biz Real Estate Landlord and Tenant Representation

How does the dictionary define landlord and tenant? What are the differences?

The term landlord refers to a person who owns property and allows another person to use it for a fee. The person using the property is called a tenant. The agreement between a landlord and a tenant is called a lease or rental agreement. Simple stuff right?

If you said yes you are partially right. The definition of landlord and tenant is simple to understand but the relationship between the two can be terribly complicated and anything but simple..

The agreement between a landlord and tenant is a bilateral contract with both parties agreeing to perform certain aspects of the contract in order to keep the relationship working. It is often thought of by both tenants and landlords that the need of a commercial broker to serve as an intermediary is not important. That assumption is wrong and may lead to an outcome that is not in your best interest.

The right commercial broker can be a valued part of your team whether or not you are the landlord or the tenant. Biz Real Estate brokers are able to identify aspects that are part of everyday business for us and that you may confront only during tenancy.

Landlords need to understand the complications that their tenants face doing business post 2007, and tenants need to be aware of market changing conditions and know what is important to their landlord.

If you said yes you are partially right. Every landlord wants to be paid by the first of the month and will become quickly agitated when tenants are late. What do you do when a tenant is late and keeps promising to pay?

Every tenant has the best intentions when signing a lease agreement, but business climate can change without warning and you may find yourself late on or by the 5th of the month. What do you do?

Biz Real Estate will help as much as possible with landlord tenant transactions and may help you see things through another set of eyes that are backed with experience.
